Am i going crazy?
right so ive been wondering, whats going on with some of the threads i was watching? i keep adding them to my favorites list so i can easily go and look and look and see who all has posted and what they have posted. and over the last few days i click the links and i get error 404, or some message saying having trouble communicating with the database or something.
And i started to wonder...are threads getting deleted?
i know this is a possibility since its a forum, and its the most probable cause for these...missing threads... but i dont really like the way its being done if the mods, admins, are just deleting these threads. usually when a thread is deleted its because one major rule, or more than one major or minor rules were being broken, i dont believe this was the case with any of these threads...but i dont seem to have the best memory.
so i was wondering if any admins, mods have been deleteing threads...why arent you closing, with a post explaining why the thread was closed instead of just deleting it no questions asked? not to be disrepsectful, (i can imagine the stress/situations that occur that cause these things to happen, but the method being used(if this is the case) is not the best method in the world. i used to post on a forum called mikeroweforums.com and the mods and supermods there were so self centered and egotistical if a user posted something bad about that mod or admin, or the mod/admin, didnt like the post period it would be deleted. now im not making any personal accusations or anything, but to me, i feel like this is whats happening. i mean correct me if im wrong, but closing/deleting a thread without notice/explanation is just annoying and ...dare i say it... stupid method of governing a body of users. i mean, even governments "cant" do something public like this for no reason whatsoever , and im not trying to turn this into a governmental issues debate, but thats exactly what mods and admins are, the governing body of this forum. so if a mod or someone could get back to me on this id be greatly appreciated
for a specific thread, i made one about midnight CST July 28th, titled new auction rules or something like that in riverside inn. now i cant find it anywhere. not even if i search, or go to find all posts/threads started by angryhob0z. again, i may just be missing something here, or maybe mozilla is just acting up, but i would like some clarification on the matter thanks

I think if you look around carefully, you can actually find it under a different name...
Here is a snippet of the rules for Auction/Buying/Selling
...No double posting or bumping more than 24 hours a day
If you bump more in the timeline, you get a temporary lock from Ventari's Sell and have to wait 24 hours before reposting
...No flaming
I think it means annoying people or doing offensive things. People may have different ideas from the offerer, but unless you flame, you WILL NOT be affected by it if the thread gets closed.
And I think there is a major warning of NOT using EBay to fuel prices for any item. Doing EBay and the forum to fuel advertising is against the Forum rules, and you risk a COMPLETE BAN from the forum, making you unable to post or send private messages
Hope this helps you with the rules!
